Nephilim™

In Nephilim, the Player will be a spirit, usually called "Nephilim" which is reincarnated during centuries. The Player will choose the number of reincarnations his Nephilim used to live. This will define the number and level of skills the Character will possess and the magic he'll be able to do. The more the Character was reincarnated, the more skilled he will be, but he will be impaired in magic. Theoritically, adventures takes place in contemporary world. The Character will choose one of five elements (earth, air, fire, water and moon) which are called "ka-elements". His magical powers will deprend on this ka-element. The Random System is based upon  percentage.

Our Opinion

Advantages :

The Magical System is very flexible despite the restriction to a spell system. Percentages allow a great flexibility for the Game Master. The concealment is also funny : the more powerful a Character is, the more his ka-element is visible (for instance, a skilled Character in Fire will have a Flame aura around is eyes).

Defects :

The major problem is that a Character will increase his ka by casting spells. So, it's very interesting to start with a very skilled Character and a low ka, because it's more easy to increase the ka in this way than buying and increasing Skills. The disequilibrium is a littlte bit redhibitory.
